If this question is to me, I would say NO. why should they need reservation, by this concept itself people are making girl feel they are not strong enough. Let them not feel like they are "Delicate darlings". Girls! You are strong , confident ,independent and this goes on .... Why should there be reservation for women in education , jobs , everywhere.
Ok guys throw your thoughts out.

ReplyDeleteThat is the same reason, we would like to have reservation for women in this male dominated world...its enough we lost so many oppurtunities in all the fields just bcoz of this arrogance, neglegence and illtreatment by many men.
i think girls today are equally competent and to be truthful they are running ahead of men in many fields and in such case providing reservations is something like making them handicapped and making them to walk with clutches

I deny to this point that " having women resrvation is making them handicapped and making them to walk with clutches!!! " Ofcourse girls are equally or even more stronger than men,independent,confident!!! But having resrvation can really a help very very needy woman who is really strong and good enough but was discriminated and exploited by our society!!! jus think!! having reservation can help one in 100 needy people is really a good thing!!!

ReplyDeleteAll I am trying to say is there should be a change in the way Girls are treated. The reservation point seems somehow like , "People you need not change ur attitube towards Girls".
let me tell u an example..there is a girl who scored good marks and got into a decent job. When she entered into the office ,the first comment she heard is "Might be she got this job out of GIRLS reservation" This is want the final impression is, which needs to be changed.
"The whole point out here i feel is the need for a change at the grass root level which being the stereotypic mentality as far as girls are concerned. I think equality is still a concept in theory not in practice.

Problem is not in reservation, problem is why there has to be a need for it. Why cannot things be more like "you get what you earn"
Why make anyone realized that he is needy by any means. It is more about reforming the mind set of the people. To stop creating these needs and let everyone feel free and be who they are and be happy for that."

Good, the reservation system, not exactly the women reservation, as such has given some wonderful people voice and ability to represent themselves as well as the nation. For eg. Condoleezza Rice, Ex. Secretary of the State, who proved more than handy in dealing with every nuclear powered nation in the world.
The aim of the reservation was not to prove somebody ALWAYS needs a 'Clutch' to walk, but no to miss someone who might become more than a clutch to thousands and millions of people...
As per the saying goes you can leave 100 bad fellows but not to punish even a single good fellow (or something like that), the system is as such was placed not to miss dimonds among
the color stones...
But as such, the problem here lies not in the fact that reservations are being used, but they are being used up, in a whole new wrong meaning, which should be stopped or changed.

ReplyDeleteFrom a woman's point of view, it doesn't hinder her in her growth, rather it acts like a supplement.
But from a man's point of view... I donno what it is like.It might be a li'l difficult.
India is an old country where women in "some places" are still considered to be not as good as guys(in terms of career). We do need reservation for those women/girls who can see a ray of hope through these reservations and try to prove that women can do better.
